Komorní barokní soubor Musica Poetica se zabývá dobovou interpretací staré hudby již od roku 1999. Název souboru odráží zaměření jeho koncertních programů – spojení barokní hudby a barokní poezie. Členové souboru hrají na kopie dobových nástrojů (cembalo, viola da gamba, barokní příčná flétna, barokní housle, barokní harfa). Kromě koncertní činnosti u nás i v zahraničí se nevyhýbá ani netradičním projektům (představení Vespillův barokní kabaret, Händel v Itálii, Pygmalion nebo Barokní ženy). V rámci svého dlouhodobého koncertního cyklu Baroko v evropských zemích nastudoval soubor hudbu a poezii 9 evropských národů.
V oblasti nahrávací činnosti soubor nahrál a vydal 6 CD (mj. CD s německou barokní hudbou, Barokní ženy s hudbou italských skladatelek 17. a 18. stol., Moudrosti a nesmysly /hudba Miloš Štědroň/, Dámy hudby a Espaňoleta). Spolupracujeme s Českou televizí, Českým rozhlasem a Radiem Proglas.
Naším cílem je zprostředkovat atmosféru a myšlení období baroka, které pro nás může být i dnes inspirací.

Das Barockensemble Musica Poetica ist im Jahre 1999 in Brno als eine professionelle Gruppe junger Leute entstanden, die sich für historische Spielweise der alten Musik interessieren. Der Name des Ensembles entspricht der Spezialisierung seiner Konzertprogramme – eine Verbindung der Barockmusik mit der Barockpoesie. Das Ensemble, in dem die Musiker historische Instrumente spielen, konzertiert in folgender Besetzung: Cembalo, Viola da gamba, Barockflöte, Barockoboe oder Barockvioline, italienische dreireihige Harfe, eine Sängerin und ein Rezitator. Die Tätigkeit des Ensembles betrifft vor allem Konzerte in der Tschechischen Republik (Brno, Praha, Boskovice, Festivale: Milénium in Plzeň und Thetrum 2002, 2003 im Kuks, Nové Město Musikfeste 2007, St. Wenzelsfeste Prag 2012 etc.) sowie in Ausland (Festiwal Bakok Forum Warschau 2005). Im Rahmen des langfristigen Projekt „ Barock in eupäischen Ländern“ einstudierte das Ensemble Musik und poesie von 9 europäischen Volken. Repertoire des Ensemble enthaltet auch music-dramatiche Vorstellungen „Vespillo Barockkabaret“ , „Händel in Italien“ und „Pygmalion“ (mit dem gleichnahmigen Melodram von J. A. Benda).
Wir bemühen uns, die Atmosphäre und das Denken der Barockzeit so zu vermitteln, dass der heutige Zuhörer darin Inspiration finden kann.
The Baroque chamber ensemble Musica Poetica, established in 1999, is a group of young professional musicians sharing an interest in authentic performance of early music. The name ‘Musica Poetica’ reflects its regular arrangement of concerts as encounters between Baroque music and poetry.
Its musicians use modern copies of period instruments:
- cembalo
- viola da gamba
- Baroque cross flute
- Baroque violin
- Italian triple harp
- voice and recitation
In addition to concerts in Czech Republic as well as abroad, the ensemble does not shy away from less conventional projects (such as the ‘Vespillo’s Baroque Cabaret’, ‘Händel in Italy’ or ‘Pygmalion’). As constituent parts of its long-term cycle ‘Baroque of European Countries’, Musica Poetica has so far presented music and poetry of eight European nations. Its lasting goal is to offer its audiences a glimpse of the atmosphere and thinking familiar to people of the Baroque period, from which one can still draw inspiration today.
Jana Janků has degrees from the Academy of Early Music and from the College of Arts, Masaryk University in Brno (in Musicology). She has been regular member of the opera ensemble of both the National Theater in Prague and the National Theater in Brno. Ms. Janků is a founding member of the ensemble Musica Poetica (as well as its Director of Program) and frequently appears with various other Czech ensembles devoted to early music, as well as with the Opera Diversa, an ensemble pursuing contemporary music.
